'Kalanlar - 12. ve 13. yüzyıllarda Türkiye'de Bizans konulu sergi ile Türkiye'deki müzelerde bu döneme ait ve çoğu yayınlanmamış olan farklı malzemelerden yapılmış eserler bir araya getirilerek sanattaki kültürler arası etkileşimin izleri ile sanatın siyasal sınırları aşan tüm insanlığa açık evrensel özelliğinin ortaya konulmasına çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda sergi12. ve 13. yüzyılların tarihsel koşulları içinde Bizansta sanat üretiminin niteliğin de sunmaktadır.'

'The Remnants - 12th and 13th Centuries Byzantine Objects in Turkey exhibition brings together Works of art from the period concerned in a variety of materials and mostly hitherto unpublished from the museums in Turkey and aims at presenting the traces of intercultural interactions in art and the universality of art reaching out to the entire mankind and going beyond the political borders. Concomitantly the exhibition presents the character of the artistic production in Byzantium within the historical circumstances of the 12th and 13th centuries.'
