Dr. Tüba Yeşilkaya was born in Istanbul, Türkiye. After graduating from Kadıköy Anatolian High School and Istanbul University from Economics department in English, she worked in Yünsa as an import specialist, a branch of Sabancı Holding and in her family business as a marketing manager. Aftermath her worklife in Türkiye, she pursued her MBA in USA in University of Miami with a second master’s degree in Florida International University in International Relations. She also took some doctorate classes in FIU. She worked as a graduate assistant and tutor on a scholarship during her studies. She worked in Windmere, a personal care company in Miami, AFI advertising agency and Ranstad in Cambridge, MA. To update her knowledge in e- commerce, she got a certificate from Harvard University. After 10 years of education and worklife in the States, she went back to school for her doctorate degree in Yeditepe University in Türkiye in the field of Political Science and International relations. She is interested in Turkish and US relations, energy and water politics, Cyprus question and the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean continental shelf and EEZ (exclusive economic zone) issues. Currently she is working as an independent researcher, educator, and writer in the field of Political Science and International Relations.

This book which is compiled from my doctoral dissertation aims to study, starting from the events of the 19th century and based on the structural environment of the balance of powers, the question of Cyprus within different structural frameworks and from a historical perspective of the transitional period in the 20th century (1919-1940) as well as the Cold War breaking out in the second half of the century, and the subsequent post-Cold War events and happenings in the international arena.
